Du Pont is a replica of Yuuji Kazami, created by Heath Oslo. The most apparent differences between Yuuji and Du Pont are his white hair and red/purple eyes, much more closely resembling Kazuki. This is stated to be due to genetic manipulation. He is a skilled combatant, trained in martial arts, knife fighting, and firearms, and is shown to be as skilled as Yuuji. According to Heath, the "maternal genetic donor" for Pont was "Marlin" the girl whom he faced at the terrorist training camp.

Grisaia no Rakuen[]
Du Pont is first seen in security camera footage, with his hair dyed black to imitate Yuuji, shooting up the Consulate General of Kazakhstan, to frame Yuuji for the crime. He is later shown with his normal hair color serving a beverage to Heath Oslo.
His next appearance is on Tartarus Island, on the flight deck. He confronts Yuuji, introduces himself, and challenges him to a fight. He throws a case of combat booster drugs at Yuuji. In the visual novel, the player is given the option to take the drugs, or to refuse to take the drugs. In the anime, Yuuji chooses the latter. In this case, Du Pont quickly overpowers Yuuji, pinning him to the deck and forcefully injects the drugs into Yuuji's neck anyway.
The two engage in a protracted battle, using primarily knives, but also guns. Yuuji closes in, grabs Du Pont's gun, flips it around, and shoots Du Pont in the chest. In the visual novel, Yuuji follows this up by pulling the 11.4mm revolver stolen from Travis, and blasting a massive hole in Du Pont's gut. In both cases, Du Pont is laying on the deck bleeding out. Yuuji closes in to deliver the final blow, but hesitates, allowing Du Pont to inject himself with a dose of the combat booster. Du Pont delivers several vicious attacks, nearly killing Yuuji. Yuuji finds another case of the combat boosters, and injects it into himself, making that his third dose (The first having been administered by Captain Mikemeyer before Yuuji came to Tartarus.) Yuuji turns the tide of the fight back in his favor, and ultimately kills Du Pont. In the visual novel, Yuuji stabs Du Pont in the top of the skull, leaving his blade embedded in Du Pont's brain, while in the anime, he stabs Du Pont in the chest, he collapses to the deck and dies.
Trivia[]
- In the visual novel, choosing whether or not to take the booster drugs will change the Heath Oslo's dialogue in the next scene, but doesn't affect the ending.
- In his confrontation with Heath Oslo, Oslo tells Yuuji that Du Pont's "maternal gene donor" was his friend Marlin from the training camp, who he fought in his first final examination.
